This year 767 varsity college football teams played over 4,000 games. New programs this year included Allen, Alvernia, Indiana Wesleyan, Keiser, Lawrence Tech, Ottawa AZ, and the University of New England. Cheyeny and Bacone dropped the sport, and Mount Ida went out of business. Congratulations to the champions: Clemson Tigers (FBS), North Dakota State Bison (FCS), Valdosta State Blazers (D2), Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders (D3), and Morningside Mustangs (NAIA).
These pages contain complete team schedules, game scores, conference listings, links to team home pages, and other college football links. The ratings, described here, were used by the BCS from 2001 to 2013, and continue to be used by football conferences since then.
Dave Rothman, a friend and a pioneer in the mathematics of sports ratings, died in 2004. His margin-of-victory based rating system ("FACT") was used by the BCS until 2002. FACT is in the public domain, its results can be seen here.
