This year 760 varsity college football teams played over 4,000 games. In 2016, four schools added football (Cincinnati Christian, Davenport, Texas-Permian Basin, West Florida) and two schools dropped the sport (Concordia-Selma, Stillman). Congratulations to the championship winners: the Clemson Tigers (FBS), James Madison Dukes (FCS), NW Missouri State Bearcats (NCAA D2), Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders (NCAA D3) and St. Francis Cougars (NAIA).
