Welcome!
This year 739 varsity college football teams played just over 4,000 games. New programs for 2012 included Bluefield, Lindenwood-Belleville, Misericordia, Point, Siena Heights, Virginia University of Lynchburg, and Wayland Baptist. West Virginia Tech dropped the sport.
These pages contain complete team schedules, game scores, conference listings, links to team home pages, and other college football links. The computer ratings, described here, were for the twelfth consecutive year part of the Bowl Championship Series process that chose the participants in the national title game played January 7, 2013.
Congratulations to the champions: Alabama Crimson Tide (NCAA Division I - FBS), North Dakota State Bison (NCAA Division I - FCS), Valdosta State Blazers (NCAA Division II), Mount Union Purple Raiders (NCAA Division III) and Marian Knights (NAIA).
Dave Rothman, a friend and a pioneer in the mathematics of sports ratings, died in 2004. His margin-of-victory based rating system ("FACT") was used by the BCS until 2002. FACT is in the public domain, its results are posted here.
